Initial concentration of ambient particulate reported by the EPA appear in the normal levels, however BP recently reported levels of Hydrocarbons and Volatile Chemical Compounds above normal that can be potentially a health risk for clean up workers.
Following is a satellite photo of the Gulf showing the extent of the oil plume.

BP is reported considering a floating incinerator to burn the recovered oil. BGI samplers will provide the EPA with data to monitor the ambient air quality to protect both the environment and population.
