The Lead Check Swab is the only instant test for the detection of lead with results in seconds. The swabs are highly specific for lead and can detect as little as 2 micrograms of lead. They are convenient to use, easy to interpret and inexpensive.

Lead Check Swabs can be used to detect lead on any surface. Perfect for checking lead on paint, metal, ceramics, dust and soil.

To use Lead Check Swabs, simply squeeze the two ampules, shake the liquid and moisten swab with "activator" solution, then rub over the area. Within one minute or less, the swab turns pink if lead is present. If you are unsure the test was done properly, there is a lead sensitive confirmation card to double check results.

Interferences: No other metals react to give the same color under the conditions provided by the kit components. The test is highly specific for lead. High concentrations of tin may give a dark purple color. High concentrations of chloride and sulfate may interfere with the detection of lead.

Please note: This is a qualitative test for the presence of lead. If test is positive, consult with a licensed paint inspector or testing laboratory.
