What's in a name.
BGI has designed the best all around calibrator for verifying and calibrating the properties of Industrial Hygiene Air Sampling Instruments. The Challenger® is unsurpassed, when it comes to Economy and features. Our readout is in both Actual flow rate and Standard flow rate. Highly accurate Temperature and Barometric Pressure are also provided. No one matches our Temperature range (-30° to +55° C). We have been in the calibrator business since 1974.
The Challenger®, like all BGI Calibrators come standard with online Software and an online Instruction manual (then select #9) One model does it all!
The heart of all BGI electronic Calibrators is the Venturi. It is made from aluminum, has no sharp edges and no moving parts. It offers a 90% recovery of pressure drop which is so important when performing a calibration. Good practice demands that the calibration conditions be as close to operating conditions as possible. Cleaning the Venturi is a simple washing procedure.
Because flow through the instrument is uninterrupted our graphic software provides a continuous output display of all functions. This continuous output makes it very simple to configure The Challenger® output to communicate with a sampler. Our own samplers, based on the Omni O/S, will perform this function allowing a “one button” update of Flow rate, Barometric pressure and temperature, completely eliminating the tedium of calibration.
